"If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?" - Psalm 11:3
When God called us to start IA Crawford Ministries, He gave us an interesting verse. Psalm 11:3, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”(NKJV) As we continued to pray, He laid out the vision for us to accomplish. The task at hand was very exciting!
The Lord showed us how the modern day attacks on the family unit and Christianity are trying to destroy our foundations of faith and cause the righteous to not stand. God then charged us to strengthen our spiritual foundations His Way through ancient truths from His Word.
Jeremiah 6:16 CJB – Here is what the Lord says, “Stand at the crossroads and look: ask about the ancient paths. ‘Which one is the good way?’ Take it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
God’s first answer to the modern day destruction of the family is, and always has been, the Sabbath. The Sabbath is God’s design for the ultimate family ministry. It sets up the home as a mini-sanctuary. A place for healing and wholeness to take place. Our passion is to see revival and restoration in people home lives!
A workable strategy for revival…”is what Nehemiah used to rebuild the ruined city of Jerusalem: every family worked on the part of the wall in front of its house (Nehemiah 3:23-28). When believing families restore the biblical home, the inevitable impact will begin to resound and multiply around the globe!” (Family Sanctuary, John D. Garr, PhD)
God’s second answer to the shifting sands of modern worldviews can be found in the Biblical Feasts. When people are able to see how the Messiah’s coming was so intricately foretold in the Feasts, it is made clear that there is only one God and that he was very intentional in His redemption plan for mankind. Neither Mohammed, nor Budha nor Confucious was foretold in such a way. Christ Jesus is truly in a class of his own! He is the one true cornerstone and is the rock we build our faith on in the midst of shifting sands.
The heart of IA Crawford Ministries is not to set up a legal code, but to draw insights from God’s principles for rest and worship in a fresh and innovative way. We desire to provide churches with a working model to teach discipleship within the family unit.
The home is meant to be a place where we walk out what we believe with our families and pass on our rich spiritual heritage to the next generation.
